
St. George Seal & The Dragon
This brass seal was made in 2008 for the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Contest in 2009 and won silver and special council award in die sinkers and engravers category.
The seal presents momentous and legendary scene when st. George kills the dragon. St. George is shown as a champion with fluttering cape and spear in both of his hands. This artistic device perpetuate the moment of St. George’s victory, when the dragon’s head is pierced with spear. There is undenible hope in this scene – we can see a victory of real bravery. The composition is crowned with long ribbon and inscription: St. George for Merrie England.
